2023 Fourth Quarter Newsletter and Member Spotlight
October:
October 3rd NCHBA held their 3rd Quarter Meeting and STARS Awards. The top award is recognizing the Builder of the Year. Mark Martin of Sandmark Custom Homes was named the 2023 Distinguished Builder Member of the Year.
October 5th-7th was the 31st Annual Parade of Homes took place and on October 8th the OBHBA held a Trade Expo at the Ramada Inn.

November:
November 1st the Fall Golf Tournament was held at Sea Scape.
November 15th was the last Continuing Education Class for NC Licensed General Contractors.
November 17th the Annual Oyster Roast and Country Boil was held at Cozy Kitchens and was very well attended. The Outer Banks HBA welcomed Buddy Hughes, Second Vice-Chairman of the Board at NAHB and his wife Elaine. David Price, David Price Construction LLC & his family were also in attendance. David spoke on the new Health Insurance NCHBA is working on to roll out in 2024.
Sandy Martin was recognized (much deserved) with the Clifford A Neal Humanitarian Award.

December 5th the NCHBA held their 4th Quarter Meeting & Installation. Along with the meeting and installation, Carl ‘Pogie” Worsley was inducted into the 2023 NC Housing Hall of Fame!
December 8th the Annual Holiday Party was held at the Sea Ranch Resort. It was another fine time of good food, fellowship and the band, Another Level.
